Carolyn Crawford and fellow Detroiter Willie Jones have been announced as the headline acts for the 2019 6T’s Cleethorpes Rare & Modern Soul Weekender. With Jr. Walkers All Star Band performing on Friday night. Live music on Friday is a first for the Cleethorpes Weekender.
The event takes place over the weekend of June 7 to 9 at The Beachcomber Holiday Park.
Carolyn is one of the few artists to have recorded for both Tamla Motown and Philadelphia International, was a member of Chapter 8, and her amazing vocals on Hamilton Bohannon’s “Let’s Start The Dance” have made it one of dance music’s most iconic anthems.
Willie will be making his debut U.K. appearance and is sure to get an ecstatic response when he performs the Wingate classic “Love Game (From A To Z)” which he recorded as part of The Royal Jokers.
Both artists will be ably supported by Ronnie Nelson's TFO band, live and direct from Detroit,
This year’s Cleethorpes Weekender will be the 27th annual event, making it easily the longest running Soul Weekender in the World.
